Beginner’s Guide to Aavegotchi
Aavegotchi is a cute tamagotchi-inspired NFT that combines an AAVE stablecoin earning interest, kinship interactions, game play, community, dress up, land ownership, passive rewards, and GBM auction reward system. I love this project that is set to blossom.
Gotchiverse land sales have been exciting to acquire a new means of passive income through alchemika. The GBM auction system rewards market floor discovery for the brave willing to bid first.

Aavegotchi, portals, land parcels & wearables are all found at the Baazaar. Now the aavegotchi’s exist on the polygon/matic mainnet so we’ll have to do some finagling to get there if you haven’t been there before.
Getting onto matic main net is to avoid the ethereum gas fees and pay matic fees which are negligible. An exciting aspect of Aavegotchi is the petting which requires a transaction every pet to update the kinship level of the gotchi on chain for the rarity farming rewards competition and future gameplay in the gotchiverse.
The simplest way for me to purchase a Gotchi is to:

Send the ETH to your metamask wallet
Add custom RPC to Metamask wallet
In the drop down menu at the top of your metamask wallet, we can Add the custom RPC:

Choose your ETH and Switch it to the Matic network
Now you can swap the ETH into GHST tokens using

At quickswap you’ll use your newly added Matic Mainet to swap your ETH into GHOST tokens.
And then it’s off to the Baazaar for picking out your Aavegotchi or Portal.

I shop for value and buy lowest portal on hand currently going for a little north of 800 Ghst tokens for a Haunt 2 portal. If you purchase a portal there are a few more steps that the developers have simplified for the user.
Once you purchase your portal you can open it using the summon button and peer inside to choose 1 out of 10 gotchis. The higher the rarity score the more unique the Gotchi is. Some people feel mythic eye traits are the most important trait to keep because eye color and shape cannot be upgraded with XP or wearables like the energy, aggression, spookiness, & brain size.
When you have chosen your Gotchi you can then click the stake button and a window will popup allowing you to purchase the Aave tokens to bring your gotchi out of the portal.
On top of earning interest the Aavegotchi ecosystem has increased both my knowledge and wealth.
You can stake Ghst tokens for frens which are used in their raffle system.
Participating in contests and events for wearables, XP, and more.
